HOW U CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE Oscars as a CHRISTIAN with a CLEAR CONSCIENCE:
1)1st of all,usually films have some redemptive value even if the general theme has nothing to do with salvation,or faith. We can view them for ourselves to discover these films ,or read Christian reviews in advance before viewing. And then support these films over others.
2)2nd,Pray for the actors,producers,writers,production designers,musicians,et al. Pray especially for those who do not yet know Jesus as Savior. Ask our Lord,if it is according to His will,to lead them to Jesus! Pray while watching (if u do watch it) or at other times & other places,before,after,&during.
3)Consider sending one or more persons a Bible. I used to do this on a regular basis,but am always finding new ways to reach people,so I normally phase in & out,& then back in to various evangelical methods. You can find celebrity addresses in the library,or online.
4)Blog,talk,write,etc about the films & their people & rather than "gossip" about them in a negative way,find a way to accentuate the positive.For example,as a Christian I disagree with gay marriage,& therefore cannot endorse some of the people you will see at the oscars. However,rather than talk about this,and rather than "gay bash",I will ignore this issue & focus on the positive,as well as prayer. "Love the sinner,not the sin" as they say.
